Nice restaurant, was very quiet on a Saturday night. You are advised to get two plates each. The pastas were nice. The Amalfi pizza was very lemony, so be warned. The staff were very attentive.

Murray at Assaggini was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His knowledge of the menu and wine was spot on, and his recommendations were excellent. Service was smooth, professional, and warm without ever feeling rushed. He really elevated the whole dining experience – a real credit to Assaggini. Would absolutely come back and hope to be looked after by Murray again.

Spaghetti is awful. The carbonara sauce is made from powder and you can feel it. Nothing common with normal Carbonara sauce. The chef even forgot to put the salt in it. But haven’t forgot to put pepper. Pasta over cocked. The taste is bad. The portions are small, they told this from the very beginning when you came in. But anyway it could be much tastier that it is. Not recommending to eat here. It is not Italian food.

The restaurant is currently hidden by scaffolding but worth the visit. Small plates were perfect to share, affordable and cute vibes. Service was wonderful
Great restaurant and design, you can tell they look after this place.
In terms of the food, it’s tasty, however pizza portions are tiny, I get they advise on the menu to take two courses but pasta size its decent, therefore adding once slice of pizza would do the work 🙂
Price is very affordable, cocktail price for £5 (subject to offer) just amazing, and these cocktails were delicious!
Staff very friendly. Restaurant offer great choices for vegetarian and pescetarian which is also great. I would add salt on the table as pasta is quite plain so it’s nice to add a bit of salt.
Lastly, going back to the design part I really loved the unique bathroom doors which adds to the final touch.

Stopped in for dinner after a long day sighting road trip. Waited 15 minutes to sit down.

Order a starter of focaccia bread with olive oil, this turned out to just be plain pizza bread with no olive oil. Absolutely this is not focaccia at all.

Ordered two pastas, two pizzas, all of which tasted nice. No plates were given, had to eat off the small wooden pizza board that came with the tiny pizzas.

Service is really poor, very hard to find someone to order more food, more water, or ask for the check. Absolutely no one comes to check on you after the food is delivered. We spoke to five different people to get the help we needed. We travel to Europe frequently and understand that this is a European way of dining, but this was next level absenteeism.
